We arrived in Barbados. Barbados is a coral limestone island, compared to a volcanic island. It is unique in the Caribbean for being formed from uplifted coral reefs rather than volcanic activity. Similar to Schoharie County (where we live in NY) it has extensive cave systems and porous rock that acts as a natural water filter for its high-quality drinking water.
