A Vermont man accused of leading Massachusetts police on a high-speed chase and dragging a state trooper was taken into custody, police said.

Stamford police say Payne was arrested at the Red Carpet Inn on East Main Street, noting two firearms were found after a search of his hotel room and vehicle.

Massachusetts State Police troopers responded to a report of a stabbing that took place between coworkers at the rental car area near Boston Logan International Airport on Friday, according to a spokesperson for the State Police. Troopers responded to the report at 10:30 Friday morning.
