USA Today's NFL experts make their picks for a Week 9 showdown between the Las Vegas Raiders and Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars have to prove that they took full advantage of their Week 8 bye with a dominant showing against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Turnovers: The Jacksonville defense thrives on turnovers. The team is Top 5 in takeaways, and Raiders quarterback Geno Smith has thrown more picks than any other NFL QB. The offensive line has been porous, allowing 19 sacks through the first seven weeks of the season. If there’s any good news, the Jaguars don’t have a particularly strong pass rush.

Brock Bowers continues to practice full, which is the best news. More good news on Thursday as Maxx Crosby and Adam Butler returned to practice after being sidelined Wednesday with back issues. Pete Carroll said on Wednesday that he expected both Butler and Crosby to play Sunday.

Lloyd (calf) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Raiders, Paul reports. Lloyd was unable to play against the Rams in Week 7 due to a calf injury, but he's had additional time to recover courtesy of the Week 8 bye.
