Patrick Somerville has signed a two-year television overall deal with Amazon MGM Studios, Variety has learned exclusively.

Amazon has given Hertz a new home for its used-car sales operations in a partnership that links one of the largest rental fleets in the country with the world’s biggest online retailer.

Amazon plans to expand this service to an additional 1,300 cities by the end of the year, at which point it will cover 2,300 cities. The service is available to all Amazon customers whether they’re enrolled in Amazon Prime or not.
