Both the next-gen Outback and the new 2026 Trailseeker electric SUV will be shown at the New York auto show on April 16.

Subaru has revealed the 2026 Solterra EV, an Outback-sized two-row electric crossover with 375 hp, AWD, 8.3 in of ground clearance and a claimed 4.4 second 0-60 mph time.

And while Subaru’s gasoline-powered lineup is extremely capable off-road, the company believes Trailseeker’s mix of off-road capability and EV tech will resonate with buyers.
