Google had been winning the P.R. battle with Disney over the absence of ESPN, ABC, and other Disney-owned channels from YouTube TV by doing nothing.
On Sunday, YouTube TV informed its customers that it will issue a $20 credit due to its ongoing dispute with Disney, which has prevented ESPN's live sports coverage from being available on the platform since Oct. 31.

The Disney-YouTube TV standoff has officially been going on for so long, polling firms have been able to conduct research into which side the public is blaming. Suffice it to say, the results do not bode well for Disney.
On October 31, Disney removed its channels, including ESPN and ABC, from YouTube TV after the two companies failed to reach a new licensing agreement. The blackout has left millions of viewers frustrated, prompting YouTube TV to offer a $20 credit to affected subscribers. The credit can be applied to subscribers’ next billing statement.

The company is emailing YouTube TV subscribers with instructions on how to apply the one-time $20 credit to their next billing statement, according to Variety. Those emails started arriving in inboxes on Nov. 9, and should all be sent out by Wednesday, Nov. 12, the Athletic reported.
