In 2009 Disney decided to acquire the television rights to an iconic anime. But things didn't exactly go as planned.

After pulling the plug on "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," Disney has greenlit the animated series "Star Wars Rebels" to air on its kids cabler Disney XD in fall 2014. Series has already begun production.
