Sophie Cunningham has put together a strong August, earning a starting spot over Lexie Hull while Caitlin Clark remains sidelined with an injury. But during the Fever's 99-93 overtime win against the Connecticut Sun on Sunday, Cunningham was forced to leave the game in the second quarter with a knee injury.

Cunningham is officially out for the remainder of the 2025 season. The 29-year-old guard injured her right knee during a game against the Connecticut Sun on August 17. She fell to the floor, writhing in pain and grabbing her knee after the injury occurred.

Coach Stephanie White and the Fever continue to refresh, Clark's "day-to-day" status and that's the truth, according to Cunningham, who herself was knocked out of the rest of the season with a knee injury last Sunday.
