A U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services officer was struck by a suspect in an off-road vehicle Friday night as they fled from the area of Grand Boulevard and Los Esteros Road in the residential community of Alviso according to the San Jose Police Department.

A suspect was shot and killed by police in San Jose on Sunday afternoon, the department said. Just before 2:30 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the area of Recife Way and Vargas Drive on a call about a family disturbance.

San Jose police said they are investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred on Sunday afternoon. Police said they responded to a home on Recife Way and Vargas Drive around 2:25 p.m. for a report of a family disturbance.
