Overall, United has canceled more than 100 flights each day, from Friday, Nov. 7 through Sunday, Nov. 9, the airline's website showed. Of those, 34 United flights scheduled to depart or arrive at Chicago O'Hare International Airport Friday were cut, with that number increasing to 38 Saturday.
FAA orders flight reductions at major airports, including MSP. 4% cut now, possibly 10% by Nov. 14, due to federal shutdown, affecting travelers.
Staffing-related cancellations are only growing worse under the FAA directive, the data show. On Sunday, of the 1,704 cancellations across the nation, 819 were FAA-mandated reductions and another 885 were tied to delays from staffing problems.
