The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said it’s cutting 10% of flights at 40 busy airports starting Friday. The cuts depend on whether the government shutdown continues. Some airlines canceled flights preemptively rather than risk last-minute adjustments.

KCI not notified if airport will see reduction in air traffic, ‘travelers may still see impact’
The City of Kansas City said in a statement that KCI “has not been notified as of now if Kansas City International Airport (MCI) will be one of the 40 airports subjected to the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) upcoming reduction in air traffic.”
JFK may be one of the busiest airports in the world, but the drinking scene is “surprisingly underwhelming,” requiring long walks between bars and navigating through large crowds which makes it more difficult than it should be to grab a drink.
