Quarterback Kyle McCord's time with his hometown Eagles was short, with Philadelphia waiving the rookie just months after picking him in the sixth round of the NFL draft. NFL teams have until 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday to reduce their active rosters to 53 players.

McCord had turned himself into an intriguing NFL quarterback in his lone season at Syracuse. When he transferred in from Ohio State, there were questions of whether he'd just ridden the coattails of his talented receviers. But then at SU, McCord threw for 4,779 yard and 34 touchdowns, which are both single-season records for the Orange.
