A California Highway Patrol cadet died Sunday in a collision on Interstate Highway 5 at West Benjamin Holt Drive in northwest Stockton.
The Marines said in an earlier statement that the event would take place "on approved training ranges and comport with established safety protocols."

"Because of the event and closure, drivers should expect delays on Interstate 5 and other state routes throughout Southern California before, during, and after the event," the press release says.
