This picturesque town near a Colorado national park brims with culture and activity and is only steps away from amazing hikes and other mountain adventures.
The annual Rooftop Rodeo (so named for its 7,500 foot elevation) is held in July. Estes Park resident Michelle Hurni will be pulling skiers in the skijoring event on one of her two mustangs.
Estes Park offers other fall activities as well. USA Today recommends fall events like the Elk Fest, which runs from Sept. 28-29, and the Pumpkins and Pilsners Fest on Oct. 5.
