While the night ended in defeat for the Washington Commanders, tight end Zach Ertz quietly achieved a historic mark of his own. In the first quarter, Ertz recorded two receptions to reach 800 career catches, joining an elite group of tight ends that includes Tony Gonzalez, Jason Witten, Antonio Gates, Shannon Sharpe and Travis Kelce himself.

Zach Ertz is expected to play for the Commanders in Week 7 against the Cowboys despite dealing with shoulder and calf injuries.

Commanders head coach Dan Quinn lamented his team's inability to capitalize on early Chiefs turnovers in Monday night's 28-7 and the team can't afford to miss too many more opportunities if they want to make it back to the playoffs this season.

The Commanders won't have their top two wideouts for Sunday's showdown with the Cowboys but Zach Ertz will suit up for the divisional clash.
