The No. 25 Memphis Tigers and the Rice Owls meet Friday at Rice Stadium in Houston. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

Memphis owns an ATS record of 4-1 as 14-point or greater favorites. This year, three of Memphis' eight games have gone over the point total. Rice's record against the spread in 2025 is 4-4-0. Rice has seen five of its eight games go over the point total.

Rice (3-4, 1-3 American) commenced the season at 3-1 for the first time since 2001, but the Owls are in the midst of a cold stretch right now. They’ve dropped three consecutive conference matchups, falling in one-score fashion to Navy and Florida Atlantic before a nightmare 61-13 collapse at UTSA.

The Owls run a modified option offense, which will instantly create fear for Tigers fans who watched what Navy did to Memphis last season. Rice's offense looks different and hasn't been nearly as explosive as Navy's, but it's still tough to prepare for on a short week.

UConn fell 34-37 to the Rice Owls on Saturday, ending their four-game winning streak and putting the Owls back into the victory category.
