As Leeds close in on the signing of Switzerland international winger Noah Okafor from AC Milan, pending his medical, it seems supporters are still wondering when or if another pure centre forward will arrive at Elland Road.

Okafor is United’s response to the failed pursuit of Igor Paixao, with a left winger always on the transfer agenda following the loan return of Tottenham Hotspur’s Manor Solomon. The 25-year-old becomes the youngest signing of the window so far.

The Whites have looked to strengthen right across the pitch. They have brought in a new goalkeeper in Lucas Perri, three new defenders, including Jaka Bijol, two midfielders, with one of those Newcastle United academy graduate, Sean Longstaff, and a new centre-forward, Lukas Nmecha, on a free transfer.
