After starting their summer slate with a 2-0 record, the Denver Broncos are set to wrap up their preseason schedule this weekend. The Broncos kicked off preseason with a 30-9 win over the San Francisco 49ers on the road in Week 1, and they followed that up with a 27-7 victory at home against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2.
The game will be locally televised in the Denver market on KTVD with Steve Levy (play-by-play) and Ryan Harris (analyst) providing commentary while Cynthia Frelund and Scotty Gange report from the sidelines. Out-of-market fans can also stream the game live on NFL+.
NFL teams must cut their rosters from 90 to 53 by 2 p.m. on Aug. 26. The Denver Broncos will face the New Orleans Saints in their preseason finale on Aug. 23, then the team will have until Aug. 26 to set a 53-man roster. 7-8. ILBs Jordan Turner and Karene Reid: Turner impressed with five tackles, three quarterback hits, 1.5 sacks and one tackle behind the line of scrimmage on Saturday. One week earlier, Reid had two tackles, one interception and one pass breakup. Both should be practice squad targets if they clear waivers.
Broncos legend Terell Davis is excited about the trajectory that Denver is on after making the playoffs last year.
Denver Broncos backup offensive lineman Nick Gargiulo suffered a season-ending ACL injury in a preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday, coach Sean Payton confirmed after Tuesday's practice. "Nick, we put on reserve injured," Payton said. "That’s an ACL and a pretty significant injury and season-ending, so that’s a tough loss.”
