A Florida woman was accused of using her mother’s identity to apply for hurricane aid told a city employee that she looked so much younger because of botox, police said.

The 44-year-old woman in Bradenton, Florida, an area which had been affected by hurricanes Helene and Milton, is accused of using her mother’s name and information to submit a claim for almost $8,000.

Veronica Torres, 44, received almost $8,000 in funding before she was charged by Bradenton Police Department officials for filing a false public assistance claim.
